Hiya! I'm Benni, the first openly out transgender PGA Professional. You would not be reading this if it wasn't for a tee shot at Twin Lake Villa in New London, New Hampshire. I started golf when I was 6 and grew to hate it at one point. Around ten years old, my dad said, "Come out this last time, and you never have to play again if you don't want to." On the 8th tee at TLV, I hit my little golden headed Wilson Staff driver high and straight. It carried 176, landing just over a creek at 175. I could not believe it. The joy in that moment hooked me. I was bit by the golf bug. I competed on the New England PGA Junior golf circuit, and went to Methodist University where I majored in Business with a concentration in PGA Golf Management. Golf has been my life. It's taken me all over the world from London to Tokyo to Melbourne. It is my purpose to represent the LGBTQ community and be a beacon of light to those who do not feel welcome in the golf world. Golf is for everyone. Much love <3.
