April 24 – 25, 2026
The 2026 Grass Clippings Open presented by Gila River Resorts and Casinos kicked off the 2026 Season at Grass Clippings Rolling Hills.
Each franchise fielded 6 pairs, for a total field of 132 golfers. A stacked field boasted PGA/LPGA players, mini tour grinders, and some of the top golf talent in the world.
The week kicked off with a 100 2-person team qualifier, the top-25 (including tied) advanced to the 2026 GL Draft the following evening where 22 of those teams were drafted onto Grass League franchises.
Through Round 1 of the tournament 2 teams (Quick | Weworski – Phoenix United, Engel | Blanchard – Minnesota Muskies) sat atop the leaderboard at -10, with multiple groups in striking distance to make a run during the final round.
On Saturday, early groups went low, with 2 teams posting -12 round. However, Quick | Weworski started their final round hot and kept their foot on the gas. The pair would go onto finish at -13 for the day (-23) and capture the title by a margin of 6 strokes. This is the largest margin of victory in Grass League history, and their -13 round ties the record for single lowest round. This marked the first title for Quick and Weworski and also for Phoenix United.
