BIO

I grew up playing golf, though “late bloomer” is probably the polite way to put it. My big break came my senior year of high school when I earned a golf scholarship to Utah Valley State College—by beating their #1 and #2 golf players in a full-court, two-on-two basketball game. The coach never actually saw me play golf, but details are overrated.

Once on campus, golf finally entered the picture. I was an All-American as a freshman, then paused to serve an LDS mission in the Philippines. After returning, I played well my second year and transferred to BYU to finish my collegiate career.

I turned professional and won several events around Utah, then regained my amateur status around 2016—because why not? Since then, I’ve won multiple amateur events in Utah and Arizona, and the John R. Williams Tournament at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester.

Career low round? A casual 58 on a par 72. Beating my dad that day by 27 shots, also a record.

Just looking for a reason to buy new clubs.
