A native of Stanley, Kansas. Kris played college golf at the University of Kansas where he was a two time All- American for the Jayhawks. He went on to play professional golf and later regained his amateur status. Upon doing so, Kris went on to win the 2013 Arizona Mid-Amateur Championship and the 2022 Arizona Amateur Championship. He currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and is a member at Silver Leaf Country Club.
